In this short tutorial I will demonstrate how to adjust the size of your Mac folders on your desktop so that they are larger or smaller. This process is pretty simple and only takes a few moments. Please note that you should have your "right click" enabled on your magic mouse or trackpad. To enable "right click" on a mac these settings can be adjusted in "System Preferences" then by selecting the trackpad or mouse icon. The option for "right click" is referred to as "secondary click" on a mac. STEP 1 Right click anywhere on your desktop and select "Show View Options" STEP 2 From this menu you can change your icon size to the desired size you would like your folder icons to display at. Adjust this bar as needed. You can also adjust your grid spacing (the space between each icon folder), the text size that is displayed on the folder icon, and how you would like to sort or stack your folder icon. Please not if you are using a desktop theme and want to be able to move your folder icons around on your screen without them snapping in a straight line you will need to have "stack by" set to "none. STEP 3 Once you have set your folder app icons to the desired size you can close the menu box and arrange your folder icons as desired on your Mac desktop screen.

In order to create custom icons for a windows computer the files must be in .ico format. This means that regular images such as .png, or even .jpeg cannot be used. All desktop folder icon sets sold with iMaddbox automatically include .ico files (for windows users) as well as .png files (for mac users) to update the folder icon aesthetic of a windows device. STEP 1 Make sure your .ico files are saved in a place that is easy to locate. Create a new folder on your desktop, or select an existing one. Right click on the folder you want to change - in this tutorial we will be using the "Sample" folder. Then Select "Properties" STEP 2 In the folder "Properties" menu select the "Customize" tab - then select "Change Icon..." STEP 3 Select the .ico file from the designated folder you saved the .ico files in at the beginning of this tutorial. Then Select open, and on the next screen you can select the icon then "Ok" STEP 4 Select "Ok" or "Apply" then the icon should automatically update as your new folder icon. Repeat this process to update or change any additional folder icons. NOTE To remove the updated folder design or image, repeat STEP 1, then in STEP 2 Select "Restore Default" - Select "Ok" or "Apply" - this will revert the folder icon back to its original state.

First thing you need to do to use the Widgy App is install the app from the App Store on your iPhone. The Widgy App is free to download and use with 1 widget at a time, to unlock use of more widget you will have to upgrade from the app for a small fee. Before continuing, make sure you have the QR and any background images saved to your photo album. If you delete these image from your album they will remove themselves from the widget app. Open the Widgy App and select "Import Widgy" Select "Import QR Code from Album" Select the "fuzzy" looking QR image from your iPhone photo album. You can just select "edit" or "edit as copy" if you are concerned you will mess up the original. There are ways to "undo" and revert the widgets back, or reimport the Widgy QR if you make a mistake and are unable to fix it. (Note: If you do not have an image to import, skip steps 6 & 7) Once the widget opens, select the layers tab and the "image layer" Select the "image" tab, then "image library" Once the image is added, you can adjust the widget as needed, and when you are ready to finish installed select the back "arrow" then choose "Confirm" At the bottom of the Widgy App there is a "Manage" tab, select this. Choose an empty slot to assign to the widget. Once the image is assigned it will appear here and you can close this app. On your iPhone home screen touch and hold the screen until your app icons "shake" and this + sign appears at the top. Depending on your device this + sign could be on either the left or right of your iPhone home screen. Scroll to the bottom of the list until you come to the "Widgy" option, select this. Scroll through your widgets to select the Widgy App you want to add to your iPhone home screen. Tap your screen to exit edit mode, and enjoy your new widget. IMPORTANT NOTES: Widgy app is a newly developed app and can, from time to time, experience minor glitches (i.e. data syncs delayed). You can restart your iPhone device and that usually fixes the problem. Widgy app is a free app to install, but you can only use 1 widget slot at a time live for free, if you would like to use moer than 1 widget through the widgy app you will need to upgrade the app with a one time small payment.

Here are some instructions on how to change your iPhone icons on your home screen by creating iPhone shortcuts. For each icon you will need to create a shortcut, this can be a time consuming process, BUT once you have them set the first time, switching them out later is a breeze. To create an iPhone shortcut, follow the steps below: How to Create iPhone Shortcuts STEP 1: Open the "Shortcuts" app. STEP 2: Select the "+" to add/create a new shortcut. STEP 3: Select the down arrow then select "Rename your Shortcut" STEP 4: Select "Add Action" STEP 5: Select "Scripting" - then select "Open App" NOTE: There are SO many different types of actions you can apply to a shortcut, but for this instructional process I will show you the basic "opening the app" shortcut. This will simply open the app associated with your designated icon shortcut. STEP 6: Select the "App" type next to "Open" to select a specific app. STEP 7: Type to search for your specific app in the search bar. Then select the specific app you want to create a shortcut with. NOTE: for the purpose of this instructional tutorial I am using the "App Store" app as an example. Here is where you will choose the same OR a different app when creating each shortcut for the shortcuts specific to your desired use. STEP 8: Select the drop-down arrow from the top of the shortcut, then select "Add to Home Screen" STEP 9: Select the "image" then select "Choose Photo" STEP 10: Select the icon image you want to use from your photo album. STEP 11A: Change the name to match the icon name you want to be displayed on your home screen, then select "Add" at the top of your screen to add the icon to your iPhone home screen. STEP 11B: OR if you do not want a name to display on your home screen for your icon, you can delete the text from this area and leave it blank, then select "Add" at the top of your screen to add it to your iPhone home screen. NOTE: by erasing the name from this area you can create a "minimalist" aesthetic on your iPhone home screen by hiding the text of each app name and only displaying the icon by itself. Here is an example of an icon WITH the name and WITHOUT the name.
